Delete your ExtraRep account
You can permanently delete your ExtraRep account and all your data at any time, directly from inside the app. There is no waiting period and no fee.
Heads up: deletion is irreversible. Once you confirm, every workout, every set, and every preference tied to your account is gone immediately from our servers. There is no "undo" or recovery window.
How to delete from inside the app
- Open ExtraRep on your phone.
- Tap Profile (bottom-right tab).
- Tap Account.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
-
Type
DELETEexactly to confirm you understand the consequences. - Re-enter your password. If you signed in with Google and have never set a password, re-enter your email address instead.
- Tap Delete my account, then confirm in the dialog that appears.
Within a few seconds you'll see a confirmation that the account has been deleted, and you'll be signed out automatically.
What gets deleted
The following are removed from our servers immediately:
- Your account record (email, password hash, username)
- Every workout you've logged, including all sets, weights, reps, and notes
- Any Google sign-in links connected to your account
- Pending email-verification challenges
The following local data is wiped from your phone in the same step:
- Your saved login token
- Your onboarding profile and saved preferences
- Your saved workout routines
- Your body measurements (these are kept only on-device — they were never sent to our servers)
- Workout summary photos saved by the app
What is retained, and why
To be fully transparent, a small amount of data may persist briefly for technical reasons:
- Custom exercises you created. If you created custom exercise definitions (e.g. "Pause Squat — 3s") and other users included them in their workout history, the exercise rows stay anonymously. The "created by" field is set to NULL so nothing is attributable to you. This protects other users' workout history from breaking.
- Database backups. Our hosting provider keeps automated database backups for up to 30 days as standard disaster-recovery practice. Your deleted data may persist in those backups during that window. After 30 days, backups are rotated and your data is gone permanently. We never restore backups for individual user data — only in the event of a major site-wide failure.
- Operational logs. Web server access logs may contain timestamps of requests but no identifiable account data. These logs are rotated weekly.
- Crash reports (Sentry). If your app ever reported a crash, the crash data is held by Sentry (our error tracking provider) for 90 days. Crash reports do not contain email addresses, names, or any personal account data — only anonymous device model, OS version, and stack trace.
